How to Allow Multiple RDP Sessions in Windows 10 and 11? | Windows OS Hub.How to allow multiple rdp session - Microsoft Q&A

I am not very familiar with Hex Editing software. Can anyone provide more details in how to change the termsvr. Just found windows build on my machine after auto update. Not finding the code strings in the termsrv.

Has the hex editing instruction here no longer effective with this latest build? Same here! Las windows update has modified termsrv. Someone can tell what is the new string to search for? Microsoft Windows [Version Microsoft has been updated very quick recently. Computer has just updated to latest version windows 10 pro version , OS Thank You very much. Any help? Thanks in Advance. Thanks Kalandor — that worked for 20H2!

Had to copy termsrv. Used this on win10pro vers I too had to copy the termsrv. Search for:. Worked for me. However, is there a sustainable way to update this string in sebsequent versions? I have So, Windows just updated this again. The version of the new termsrv. Anyone that could shine a light on this would be great!

Thanks you! I was probably doing something wrong in the search. The problem here, is that you have to be able to connect to the instance other than with RDP. In my case, the whole string I had to find was actually:. A couple other tips: —Make sure you are searching for a hex value, not text-string, integer, etc.

In the HxD hex editor, you have to select the data type and text-string is the default. Good morning, i have replace rdpwrap. For termsrv. Only the last 4 bytes change between updates… search for the common part 39 81 3C 06 00 00 0F Worked for me for the last 6 updates ….

Hi John, a workaround working since a couple of years aften any windows update, is simple to search only for 39 81 3C 06 00 00 0F 84 the next 4 number are the specific jump adress. Only those 4 numbers changes between the updates. Best Regards. Is it free for multi sessions?

Free and works well. Giving a backdoor to an unknown company with NO place of address anywhere on their site, with no indication whatsoever of who they are?

For new termsrv. Remember: The entire string is 12 pairs. For a different version, search for the first 8 pairs 39 81 3C 06 00 00 0F 84 and fill in the rest with the last 4 pairs you will find on your version. Then replace the entire 12 pairs with the string Replace it with. During the replacement, the termserv is stopped, but you can use anydesk to connect to the machine remotely as admin. After restarting the termserv by a reboot, everything with RDP is still working.

Hi all. Read DLL as byte-array in order to modify the bytes. Convert the byte array to a string that represents each byte's value as hexadecimal value, separated by spaces:. Search for byte array which is dependent on the Windows edition and replace them. RDPWrap solved the problem to use simultaneous RDP session but brought another problem: if I close RDP and reconnect than all running applications from the old session were closed and some applications running in background also are closed.

Great Content!!! Has anyone tried? Below is the string i could locate 39 81 3C 06 00 00 0F 84 4D 94 02 This server of mine has an domain controller on same servr as well hence posting to confirm before going ahead to edit.

I have not tested the termsrv. I think the easiest way for you is to deploy a clean VM with an evaluation version of Windows Server Essentials and try to edit the termsrv. This will not affect your production environment. Has anyone the hex changes for version LUKE — yes.. I have patched it on this version without issues… I even used the AutoPatcher with the following pattern. Your instructions worked perfectly, on the first try, in Windows 11 Pro I have donated to you on Paypal.

But yesterday I had to install all the pending updates of our Windows Pro and RDP stop to work, only one session was allowed. I tried everything, RDPupdate, uninstall re install, reboot the system, new. I suspected it could be a problem of a new termsrv. So, I recovered an old. For which string must I search on Windows 10 x86?

I dont have 39 81 3C 06 00 …. Gran post, muy bien explicado todo. Muchas gracias. Un genio BEN!!! Is there a solution for Windows 10 x64 v21H2 termsrv. About termsrv. And I made these steps also for Windows 10 x64 v21H2 termsrv. But I made it with my own Risk, so be carefull, backup original version of termsrv. Do you maybe have a solution for Is there a solution for Windows 10 x64 v21H2 termsrv.

Everything works fine, all green, fully supported, all is good. Furthermore, is there also a way to use this as some sort of a remote assistance manner? Been using RDP Wrapper for many years. Updated to H1H2 and all was fine. Then about 2 weeks ago it stopped working. No updates have been installed since the last time it worked. Says supported and listening, all is green. But two different users cannot be logged in at the same time.

Start with issue This is an old issue that once it pops up, no one can fix it. Every single machine on my network is now hosed. Notify me of followup comments via e-mail. If users work on a local computer console, newly created RDP connections will terminate the console session RDP sessions can also be forcibly ended if users attempt to log in locally.

Users will find the following files contained within the RDPWrap-v1. Once installation is complete, users should run the RDPConfig.

Modifying Termsrv. Dending on the Windows 10 build installed on the machine, users will need to locate and replace the line 39 81 3C 06 00 00 0F 84 XX XX XX XX and replace it with B8 00 01 00 00 89 81 38 06 00 00 90 The final 4 pairs are unique to each version of Windows, so remember to replace the entire 12 pairs with the whole string.

Run TermService after saving the edited file. If you can't find the file, simply search Google for "Take Ownership registry" and install it. Copy the termsrv. Open cmd with administrator rights winkey, type "cmd", right click "run as administrator" 2. Run "services. If it hangs which happens often , open cmd and type: "sc queryex termservice". It will print some crap, just find the value next to "PID" process id.

Next just force killing the process, by typing "taskkill. Tried this with Win 10 build and it does not work. Only one connection allowed still. Any thoughts? Max2 Answer in comments below. Refresh comments list.

Thanks for the advise. Hi hendriyu These are special licenses as they need to have software assurance attached to them since they are CALs for a VM running on Azure.

This is a Microsoft requirement that you cannot get around. You can buy these in one year, two year, or three year options. In most cases, like some quoted above it may even be just one user wanting to access a system they've already paid for from multiple devices - what's wrong with that, and why should the consumer be multiply charged for something they've already paid for?

VertigoRay: That is what I've read. But I haven't seem anything official from Microsoft. Has anyone got this working? OK great. That "poster" is kinda hard to read on my currently-little-screen.

The machine is currently sony vegas pro 12 para windows 7 32 bits 10 home, but we plan to upgrade it, if this is possible. Does anyone know if pro or enterprise will allow this, or is it just a function of the server editions? Brand Representative for Microsoft. Linux does multiple login. But, only in console. Windows would allow 2 на этой странице to log into sessions. But, one gets locked while the other one gets to work.

Why don't you use hyper v with VDI and you could create a pooled collection of win10 or any os. And let 10 users to rdp at a time. Thanks everyone for windows 10 enterprise multiple remote desktop sessions free informative replies.

I definitely don't want to break any licensing agreements, so thank you very much for this information. Ahmad, this is a simple laptop that is being used to create a prototype system. I doubt it could handle that and would be overkill for this situation. To sum it up, this simple request is was just something that would be nice for the devs to have. After looking into it, I don't think a budget would be approved for the licensing needed.

They'll just windows 10 enterprise multiple remote desktop sessions free to do without. Thanks everyone. To use more than 2 users concurrently, either use the more expensive but capable 1 Windows Server Standard enabling the built-in Remote Desktop Services feature and purchase the related CALs for the RDP sessions required or use 1 Windows Server Essentials and add Windows 10 Pro licenses per the number of VMs you wish to run after setting up the Hyper-V feature.

Does that mean that one person can be sitting and using the computer not RDP while another can be connected via RDP let's say from an old win xp computerat the same time, without disturbing each other? I see this topic a lot. Why doesn't MS create a multi-user desktop OS and just charge more for it to account for the multiple users?

I think a lot of people would go for it for the convenience. I know I would. Charging for the OS and generating silly artificial limits like this - Windows desktops are capable to host many users in some applications - is so "s". In most cases, like some quoted above it may even be just one user wanting to access a system they've already paid for from multiple devices - what's wrong with that, and why should the consumer be multiply charged for something they've already paid for?

IMHO, using a WIndows system by more than one user is more like: Going to a car showroom and buying a new car for cash. Getting home and finding out you have been issued with a single key, locked to your fingerprint.

Just me then? A long time ago, terminal server was an addon but, there have been a few architecture changes since then. Maybe if enough people asked it could be a added as a dev tool since they're using subscription based licensing now. Now then, has anyone got this working? I know there are workarounds of dubious legality, but is this an actual Microsoft thing? Read these next
